Accessibility

The goal is a site everyone can use, on any device, with or without a mouse, a screen reader or motion.

Our target

The site is built with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA as the target. That is a goal we test against, not a certification: automated checks and our own testing cannot find every barrier.

What we do

  • Semantic HTML with one main heading per page, landmarks and a skip link.
  • Every tool works with a keyboard, with visible focus.
  • Form fields have labels and plain-language error messages; your input is kept when something needs fixing.
  • Status in the tracker is shown with words, not color alone.
  • Text meets contrast targets; layouts work at 200% zoom and on small screens.
  • Motion is short and optional; with “reduce motion” turned on in your system, animations are minimized.
  • Touch targets are about 44 pixels or larger.
  • Printables have readable type, generous writing space and an HTML alternative.
  • Guides and navigation work without JavaScript; the interactive tools need it.

Known limitations

  • The interactive tools (builder, tracker, pause list) require JavaScript.
  • PDF printables are designed for printing; the accessible version of each is its HTML page.
  • Translations, when available, may lag behind English updates.

Report a barrier

If something is hard or impossible to use, please tell us on the contact page — the page, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you used. We will reply and fix what we can.
